I have been a qualified probation officer since 2010 and am currently located at the criminal Court in Manchester.  My responsibilities include preparation of pre-sentence reports, risk assessment, and case allocation.  My involvement with GMCC has been as a volunteer and I have served as a Trustee since July 2014.  I am a member of King's Church in Greater Manchester and am part of their wider leadership team in Salford. I live in Swinton, Salford.”

Deacon Jenny

Trustee

As deacon at Methodist Central Hall, my role is to work alongside the marginalised  and look for justice for those whose stories need to be heard.

Before I had children I worked in merchant banking.  Post-children I worked for a charity which built links between education and businesses.  Initially I was doing finance but quickly got involved in delivering projects which aimed to help young people understand the wider world around them and how they fitted into it.

Since becoming a deacon I have worked in both Leeds and Nottingham city centres alongside the homeless, the council in relation to financial exclusion, the LGBT+ community and in a very deprived inner city area.  In each area as I have learnt more about the injustices people suffer, I have learnt more about myself too.

I am married with three children and four grandchildren.

Aled

Trustee

I became a Trustee in 2015 and have also taken on the role of being one of the Managing Directors.  I am a qualified solicitor and work in Manchester City Centre.  I have been working at and with the Church for 4 years especially offering free legal advice to those who cannot afford to get legal advice or guidance through the Community Outreach Programme, which has enjoyed a large amount of success.  I have also dealt with legal issues for members of GMCC and have always given freely of my time to help.  I live in Wilmslow and am very active within my Community.”
